President’s Message
Hello ASCE Nebraska Section,
I am honored to serve as the President of the ASCE Nebraska Section for 2025-26. Since joining ASCE at the start of my professional career, I have valued the opportunities this organization provides for leadership, collaboration, and service to our civil engineering community.
In the year ahead, one of my primary goals is to continue strengthening our connection with the student chapters at UNO and UNL. These students represent the future of our profession, and our role is to support their development through mentorship, engagement, and meaningful professional opportunities.
Mentorship has played an important role in my own career, and I am committed to expanding structured opportunities for our members to guide the next generation. By investing in students and young professionals, we help ensure the continued growth and excellence of our field.
Another key focus for this year is increasing collaboration within the broader engineering community across Nebraska. We hope to build on existing partnerships and create new opportunities for joint meetings, shared initiatives, and enhanced knowledge exchange with other engineering organizations. Strong collaboration strengthens our profession and broadens the resources available to our members.
Thank you for the opportunity to serve in this role. I look forward to working together, supporting our members, engaging with students, and continuing to advance the mission of ASCE throughout Nebraska.
Much appreciated,
Pavel Karamshin
